The Message Queue Telemetry Transport (MQTT) standard is a lightweight publish/subscribe model communications protocol used widely for Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) integration of edge devices across a wide variety of industries around the world.

In this video blog, I'll show you how to get started using our MQTT Client driver to interface to an MQTT broker or server (including devices acting as a broker or server) to integrate data from your IIoT data into Wonderware applications.

Watch this video to learn how to get started using the TOP Server MQTT Client driver, including basic setup, for integrating MQTT data into Wonderware applications.

Just to summarize, in this video, I've shown you:

  1. How to configure a TOP Server channel using the MQTT Client driver with parameters for your MQTT broker or server, including suggestions/best practices.
  2. How to configure a TOP Server MQTT Client device.
  3. How to define static tags for MQTT value/name pairs for access in Wonderware, including details on valid syntax.
  4. How to access static tags and dynamic address references from Wonderware.

Don't forget to subscribe to our blog to find out about the latest updates to TOP Server.
