TOP Server Version 6.0 - Plan Your Upgrade Today

TOP Server V6 is a pivotal release that, in many ways, is focused on foundational work that will lay the groundwork for things we have planned in 2017 based on TOP Server user feedback.

If your V5 licenses are on an active Support & Maintenance Agreement, you can upgrade to V6 at no additional cost.  Project configurations are fully forward compatible.  Please contact us when you are ready to upgrade as new Activation Codes will be required to upgrade to V6.

If your licenses are not on an active Support & Maintenance Agreement, you can upgrade at a cost less than the list price of a full license for now.

Several valuable things coming in 6.0 include:

• User Interface - without diminishing your significant investments in TOP Server expertise, you'll find the following UI enhancements:
  • Unified project view
  • Standardized, modernized properties editor
  • Improved wizards
    
    
• Configuration API - The power user's dream:  the ability to programmatically configure TOP Server through a REST-based API and, soon after V6 release, a .NET API.
  • System integrators and major users we have previewed this with are very excited about these options.
  • Software Toolbox will be using these capabilities also to bring you a new range of value-added tools in 2017.
    
    
• Licensing Implementation - improved experience for multi-driver license installation, support entitlements, and time limited trials.
  
  
• OPC UA - native development of OPC UA core technology including improved performance and diagnostics tools.
  
  
• Security - Complimentary access to the Security Policies advanced plug-in is part of each license, previously a $395 add-in option.
