NOTE: This guide specifically applies to using the TOP Server OPC UA Client driver to connect to the embedded OPC UA server in an S7-1500.

For direct connectivity via the S7 Comm Plus protocol, you can use the TOP Server Siemens S7 Plus Ethernet driver. Both drivers (as well as multiple Ethernet and serial drivers for legacy Siemens connectivity) are included in the TOP Server Siemens S7 Plus Suite.
